HOW TO PREVENT CERVICAL CANCER -Cervical Cancer Prevention Week



  • The 22nd-28th January 2018 is Cervical Cancer Prevention Week, a European wide initiative  which aims to raise awareness of cervical cancer, including information about symptoms, causes of the disease and the importance of prevention, with a focus on cervical screening (the smear test)
  • The most common symptoms and signs of cervical cancer are
    • abnormal vaginal bleeding
    • increased vaginal discharge
    • bleeding after going through menopause
    • pain  during sex, and
    • pelvic pain
  • Cervical cancer can be diagnosed using a Pap smear or other procedures that sample the cervix tissue.Learn more watching this video
